Good morning, you're listening to Markets Desk.
Bitcoin is under serious pressure this week, with holders realizing more than two billion dollars in losses over just three days as selling intensified on spot exchanges. A sharp drop in US technology stocks spilled directly into digital assets Friday, briefly dragging Bitcoin below seventy-five thousand dollars, with the seventy thousand level now firmly in view as rate expectations tighten.
Turning to commodities, wheat markets are finishing the week on the back foot, with Black Sea supply dynamics weighing on all three major contracts. Chicago soft red winter futures are off four to six cents on the session, Kansas City hard red winter is down one to two cents, and Minneapolis spring wheat is tracking similar losses to Chicago. Grain traders are watching export competition closely heading into the weekend.
And in the digital advertising space, Google and Amazon are both seeing slower ad revenue growth, but the culprit isn't outside AI agents eating into their business. The drag is coming from their own AI assistants, which are drawing user attention without yet generating meaningful ad revenue. Both companies are essentially competing with themselves, and Wall Street is watching how quickly they can monetize that internal disruption.
That's the tape. Markets Desk, signing off the floor.
