In Arizona, the Cardinals are making moves heading into a tough road test against Seattle. The team has shipped veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett off to Baltimore, putting the offensive load squarely on Gardner Minshew. Arizona will need a big day moving the ball if they want any shot at leaving the Pacific Northwest with a win.
Meanwhile in San Francisco, the injury report is becoming a financial nightmare. The Forty Niners have shed nearly twenty seven million dollars in player value this season due to injuries, ranking seventh worst across the entire league through week eight. That kind of roster disruption doesn't just hurt the standings, it reshapes what this team can realistically accomplish down the stretch.
And in Chicago, the Bears are becoming one of the most compelling stories in the NFC. Sitting at six and two after three straight wins, they now welcome a Tampa Bay squad riding back to back victories and desperately chasing a playoff spot. The Buccaneers have looked sharp lately, but this is a different animal, and Sunday will tell us a lot about whether either team is for real.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
