Saquon Barkley is back on the practice field in Philadelphia, and Eagles fans can exhale — at least a little. The star running back returned Thursday as a limited participant after missing Wednesday with hamstring and back concerns. With a Week nine matchup against the Giants on Sunday, his status is far from locked in, but his presence at practice is the most encouraging sign the Eagles have had all week.
Meanwhile in Kansas City, Rashee Rice is dealing with fallout that extends well beyond the football field. The Chiefs wide receiver has reportedly filed for bankruptcy, a move directly tied to mounting legal costs stemming from his previous legal battles. Rice has been working his way back into Patrick Mahomes' offense, but off the field the financial and legal weight of the past year is clearly still pressing down hard.
And over in Golden State, the Draymond Green situation is getting louder. An ESPN analyst went on record calling Green a detriment to the Warriors, saying he has been a liability more than an asset this season. Green was ejected just seventeen minutes into Monday's loss to Phoenix, and with the regular season winding down, the patience around his role on this team is running dangerously thin.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
