In Dallas, the Stars gutted out a six to five thriller over the Washington Capitals, but the win came at a cost. Miro Heiskanen left the game with an upper-body injury after the Stars built a four to nothing second-period lead, only to watch Washington claw all the way back. The Finnish defenseman's status is being monitored closely.
Shifting to the NFL, Caleb Williams is making primetime his personal stage. The Bears quarterback torched the Seahawks for over two hundred yards, becoming the first signal-caller to hit that mark against Seattle this season. Williams and defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons were the difference-makers in a Chicago win that has the Bears feeling dangerous heading deeper into the schedule.
And across the Atlantic, the Premier League's Key Match Incidents panel dropped a significant ruling on Chelsea's Cole Palmer. The panel determined Palmer should have been sent off ten minutes before he actually was during the Stamford Bridge clash with Tottenham on October twenty-fourth. That's a damning verdict for both the referee and VAR, and it keeps the officiating controversy burning hot in English football.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
