The Chicago Bears made a massive statement on Monday Night Football, traveling to Seattle and dismantling the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks thirty-four to seventeen. Ben Johnson's offense was crisp, the defense was dominant, and at six and two, Chicago is now just a half game out of first place in the NFC North. This Bears team is for real.
Meanwhile in Cincinnati, Joe Burrow put on an absolute clinic — five touchdown passes, a rushing score, and over four hundred fifty yards through the air. Trevor Lawrence had a strong week of his own, but Burrow's performance was something different entirely. The Bengals are playing their best football of the season and Burrow is the engine driving all of it.
And some tough news out of Arlington — Texas Rangers center fielder Evan Carter underwent labrum surgery on his right hip last week and is not expected to be ready for Opening Day. President of baseball operations Chris Young confirmed the news Monday, adding that Carter should contribute for a good portion of the twenty twenty-seven season, but the Rangers will now explore the center field market this offseason.
