Victor Wembanyama answered every question anyone had about him. Coming off his first career ejection, the Spurs' big man dropped twenty-seven points, seventeen rebounds, and three blocks in a one hundred twenty-six to ninety-seven dismantling of Minnesota in Game five. San Antonio leads three games to two, one win from the Western Conference finals, and Anthony Edwards had no answers.
Shifting to the ice, Zach Benson turned twenty-one on Tuesday and celebrated the only way that matters. The Sabres forward broke a tie with a third-period power play goal to lift Buffalo past Montreal three to two, knotting that series at two games apiece. Not a bad birthday present for the kid or the city.
And in Tampa, Shane McClanahan reminded everyone he is absolutely back. The lefty went five innings against Toronto, surrendering just one hit and one walk while punching out seven Blue Jays. McClanahan was sitting ninety-seven miles per hour and the Blue Jays had nothing for it, falling seven to five as the Rays keep rolling in two thousand twenty-six.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
