Milwaukee is riding the highest wave in franchise history, and the celebration is still going. The Brewers captured their first ever World Series title Wednesday night, taking down the Tampa Bay Rays four games to one, with William Contreras, Cooper Pratt, and Jacob Misiorowski delivering when it mattered most. Manager Pat Murphy made sure to send a colorful message to the Yankees during the trophy ceremony, and the city of Milwaukee, Bucks included, is absolutely electric right now. The early oddsmakers already have the Dodgers favored ahead of the defending champs for the two thousand twenty seven title, but don't expect Milwaukee to lose any sleep over that just yet.
Shifting to the gridiron, UCLA football is seven and oh and feeling themselves heading into November. The Bruins rolled Michigan State twenty eight to ten at the Rose Bowl on Saturday, staying perfect in Big Ten play at five and oh. Head coach Bob Chesney says this team is completely bought in, and with the way they're moving, an undefeated regular season is a conversation worth having out loud.
Meanwhile in Columbus, Ryan Day is keeping everyone guessing at quarterback ahead of the Buckeyes' matchup with Southern Cal. Freshman Luke Fahey and sophomore Tavien St. Clair are both in the mix, and Day is saying nothing, only that both will be ready. Ohio State fans want answers, and Saturday night they'll get one.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
