In Philadelphia, the Eagles are heading into Monday night's showdown with the Cowboys shorthanded at the worst possible position. Both DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks have been ruled out, stripping Jalen Hurts of his top two receiving options against a Dallas defense that desperately needs a win to stay relevant.
Speaking of teams making noise, Miami is back on top of the college football world for the first time in twenty four years, and they looked every bit the part. The Hurricanes dismantled Pitt in dominant fashion, wearing those iconic uniforms and playing with the kind of swagger that made The U a cultural institution in the first place. The legacy chase is officially on.
And in Baton Rouge, Sam Leavitt put on a show in Tiger Stadium — the away one. The LSU quarterback threw for three touchdowns and ran for a fourth as the eighteenth-ranked Tigers rolled past Auburn thirty eight to seventeen. It was a statement performance in the SEC and keeps LSU firmly in the conference title conversation heading into the back half of the season.
