The Lakers' dynasty questions are front and center tonight after Oklahoma City swept Los Angeles out of the playoffs. LeBron James stood at the podium and said he simply does not know what the future holds, leaving the basketball world in a full-scale hold-your-breath moment over whether we've seen the last of the King in purple and gold.
And he's not alone in that uncertainty. Austin Reaves, who spent the entire regular season making clear he wanted to return to Los Angeles, walked out of that same elimination with a very different tone. The guard is heading to free agency this summer, and suddenly the commitment that felt like a sure thing sounds anything but. The Lakers have a lot of decisions to make and very little clarity heading into the offseason.
Meanwhile, up in Minnesota, things got physical in Game four between the Wild and the Avalanche. Colorado defenseman Josh Manson returned from a five-game absence and immediately drew a double minor for butt-ending Wild center Michael McCarron during a first-period scrum. McCarron didn't mince words afterward, calling Manson a dirty player, and the league will almost certainly be reviewing the incident closely.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
