The Big 12 is owning a significant mistake after Saturday night's BYU-Notre Dame game. The conference confirmed that officials incorrectly ran the clock out, and the Irish should have had one full second remaining to run a final play. That's the kind of officiating error that doesn't just sting — it potentially changes outcomes, and Notre Dame fans have every right to be furious.
Meanwhile, down in New Orleans, Saints quarterback Tyler Shough has been suiting up and taking hits with two broken bones in his left hand. Now, this is his non-throwing hand, so he's been managing, but the fact that he's been out there absorbing contact week after week with a fractured hand tells you everything about where this Saints roster stands right now. Tough situation.
And across the Atlantic, Marvin Harrison Junior is making his London debut today as the Texans take on the Jaguars in a genuine AFC South showdown. Harrison has been one of the most electric young receivers in the league this season, and putting him on an international stage only amplifies the spotlight. This one has real divisional weight behind it.
