You're tuned in to Sports Desk, let's get after it.
Cam Skattebo is owning it. The running back acknowledged that his aggressive style — always fighting for extra yards — finally caught up with him Sunday, costing him on a play that could have gone differently. That's the price of playing with that kind of edge, and Skattebo isn't backing down from who he is.
Shifting to the NFC East, Week five handed out some painful lessons. Tampa Bay knocked off Dallas on Thursday to grab their first win of the season, and Philadelphia had Jacksonville on the ropes in London before letting the advantage slip away late. Two teams that expected better results walking away with nothing but questions.
And in college football, the officiating controversy out of the Big Ten is a serious one. The conference has formally admitted that a referee blew the call on Oregon's failed two-point conversion in their seventeen to fifteen loss to UCLA. That's a game-changing mistake, and Oregon fans have every right to be furious — a bad spot in crunch time may have cost them a win that mattered enormously in the playoff picture.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
