Will Shipley answered with a touchdown run to tie things at seven apiece, so Philadelphia recovered just fine without him.
Meanwhile in Kona, one of the most stunning finishes in Ironman history. Norwegian defending champion Solveig Løvseth had Taylor Knibb by more than a minute with less than a mile to go, then collapsed while leading. Knibb surged past her fallen rival in that final kilometer to claim her first Hawaiian Ironman world title in absolutely heartbreaking and breathtaking fashion.
And in the NBA, the Knicks and Karl-Anthony Towns are reportedly fully divided after the organization shut down contract extension talks ahead of the new season. ESPN's insider says the two sides are split, which is a significant cloud hanging over a franchise that handed Towns a massive commitment not long ago. New York says their focus is on basketball.
