Aaron Rodgers is putting the drama to rest — at least publicly. The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback addressed the reported tension between himself and head coach Mike McCarthy, delivering what he called his final word on the matter. Rodgers says the relationship is solid and that outside noise won't derail what this team is building.
Shifting to Thursday Night Football, and Dallas is the place to be tonight. The Cowboys host a winless Tampa Bay squad at AT&T Stadium, with rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels making just his second career start for the Buccaneers in place of the injured Baker Mayfield. Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb will look to exploit that inexperience, though Dallas will be doing it without cornerback Joey Porter Junior, who's been ruled out with an illness just hours before kickoff.
And over in Green Bay, the Packers made a roster move worth watching. Running back Chris Brooks missed practice, prompting the organization to sign Pierre Strong to the fifty-three-man roster. With D'Andre Swift also dealing with wear and tear in Chicago, the running back landscape across the NFC is getting thinner by the week heading into the heart of the season.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
