Major League Baseball is making a serious push to reshape its calendar, proposing a shorter regular season of one hundred fifty-four games down from one hundred sixty-two, with a targeted start date of two thousand twenty-nine. The bigger headline though is the Division Series expanding to a best-of-seven format, which would fundamentally change the postseason landscape and give the game's best teams more room to prove it when it matters most.
Speaking of October baseball, three of the four Division Series are already wrapped up, and Jackson Chourio is the name everyone is talking about. The young Milwaukee outfielder made every at-bat count when the pressure was highest, earning unofficial MVP honors for his League Division Series performance and announcing himself as a legitimate force heading into the next round.
Shifting to the pitch, Arsenal fans are buzzing ahead of Saturday's home clash with Leeds United at the Emirates. Viktor Gyokeres is expected to lead the line in a four-two-three-one setup as the Gunners look to bounce back hard after getting dismantled three-nil by Brighton before the international break. Mikel Arteta needs a response, and the pressure is very much on.
