Good afternoon and welcome to Markets Desk.
Equities closed in the green Tuesday as bond yields pulled back and earnings optimism gave traders reason to buy. The S and P five hundred finished up nearly six tenths of a percent, the Dow added about half a point, and the Nasdaq one hundred followed closely behind, with December E-mini futures confirming the move into the close.
Fueling some of that risk appetite is a blockbuster financing story out of SpaceX, which is looking to raise forty billion dollars in debt to purchase Nvidia chips, with Apollo leading the deal. It is the latest and perhaps most striking signal yet of just how aggressively the AI infrastructure buildout is being capitalized, with private credit stepping in at a scale that would have seemed extraordinary even two years ago.
Shifting to digital assets, Strategy has disclosed a four point one billion dollar income tax benefit tied to Bitcoin's fair value rising above the company's cost basis as of September thirtieth. The benefit flows from an accounting adjustment under fair value treatment rules, and it underscores how a large holder's tax position can swing dramatically once Bitcoin crosses that critical threshold.
That's the tape. Markets Desk, signing off the floor.
