Caitlin Clark just rewrote the record books. The Indiana Fever guard dropped twenty-seven points and fifteen assists in a ninety-nine to eighty-nine Game Two win over the Las Vegas Aces, becoming the first player in WNBA history to post a twenty-five point, fifteen assist performance in a single playoff game. The Fever are alive, and Game Three in Las Vegas is going to be must-watch television.
Shifting to the pitch, the USMNT got a gritty four to two win over Chile in St. Louis, and the youth movement is real. Sebastian Berhalter scored and set up the winner, while seventeen-year-old Mathis Albert and Julian Hall both set records as the youngest scorers in program history. It got heated late with two scuffles breaking out, but the Americans closed it out.
And in San Francisco, Brock Purdy is three games into this season and has yet to hit the turf from a sack. Not once. The Niners offensive line is giving their quarterback a clean pocket and Purdy is making every throw count, keeping San Francisco right in the thick of the NFC conversation.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
