Cotton futures took a hard hit Tuesday, with most two thousand twenty six, twenty seven crop contracts falling the full four cent limit. The broader weakness traced back to crude oil, which shed three dollars and sixty six cents on the session, while a firmer dollar added further pressure to the commodity complex.
Shifting to the cattle pits, live cattle closed mixed with front months slipping as much as twenty two cents while deferred contracts edged higher by similar margins. Feeder cattle found more consistent footing, gaining a dollar twenty to a dollar seventy five across the board. Cash trade in the North saw some light action at three hundred fifty dollars, keeping sentiment cautious but not bearish.
Meanwhile, Robinhood is rolling out AI-powered trading agents to all roughly twenty nine million of its customers, built on models from OpenAI and Anthropic. Users can now instruct these agents to execute trades, run research, and construct complex investment strategies. The move, timed to the company's annual HOOD summit, marks a significant shift in how retail investors will interact with markets going forward.
