San Francisco made a statement Sunday, and Brock Purdy was the one holding the pen. The forty-niners dismantled Miami thirty-five to thirteen at Levi's Stadium, with Purdy carving up the Dolphins defense in what the grades are calling an A-level offensive performance. Fred Warner and the defense kept it clean, and San Francisco looks very much like a team with something to prove.
Meanwhile, Jerry Jones is feeling himself in Dallas after the Cowboys handled Washington thirty-seven to twenty on Sunday. Jones came out swinging postgame, declaring that this defense has genuinely improved over the years, and after watching his squad dismantle the Commanders at home, it's hard to argue with the man. Dallas looks dangerous, and Jones knows it.
And the injury report out of Chicago is the story nobody wanted but everyone needs to hear. Caleb Williams, the most hyped rookie quarterback in years, is dealing with what is initially believed to be a Grade one hamstring strain. That's the best-case scenario, but with Williams, every update carries weight. The Bears and their fanbase will be watching this one very closely.
