In the first regular-season contest at Buffalo's new Highmark Stadium, Allen threw and ran for five touchdowns, cementing himself as the defining force in the AFC and giving that building a memory it will not forget anytime soon.
And yet Jared Goff had himself a night too. Four touchdown passes, Amon-Ra St. Brown going off for over one hundred forty receiving yards — Detroit brought everything and it still was not enough. The Lions defense had no answer for Buffalo's offense, and a spectacular performance from Goff ended up buried under the final score. That one is going to sting in the Motor City.
Shifting to the hardwood, the New York Knicks enter the two thousand twenty six to twenty seven season as defending champions after snapping a fifty three year title drought. The question now is whether this roster has the depth and continuity to go back-to-back. Early projections suggest New York is built to compete, but the Eastern Conference is not going to hand them anything twice.
