Welcome back, you're locked into Sports Desk.
Josh Allen made sure nobody forgot whose house it is. The Buffalo Bills christened their brand new Highmark Stadium in style Thursday night, with Allen throwing three touchdowns and rushing for two more in a forty-one to thirty-one dismantling of the Detroit Lions. The building has a new address, but the same quarterback running the show.
Detroit left that game with more than just a loss on their hands. Dan Campbell was visibly heated postgame, calling out his team's ten penalties with a colorful quote that summed up the frustration perfectly. The Lions' defense was already struggling to contain Allen, and those flags made a tough night nearly impossible to survive. Campbell won't let that slide heading into week three.
Meanwhile in Cincinnati, the question everyone's asking is just how durable Joe Burrow actually is. Back issues have resurfaced, and while the Bengals still carry enough talent around him to stay competitive if he misses time, nobody in that locker room wants to find out. A healthy Burrow is a playoff-caliber Burrow, and right now every practice rep he takes is being watched closely.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
