John Harbaugh's debut as Giants head coach couldn't have gone much better. New York took down the Dallas Cowboys in Week One, and Harbaugh wasn't shy about it afterward, calling the victory his number one win right now. A statement night in the Big Apple, and the home crowd felt every second of it.
A big reason that crowd stayed loud was Malik Nabers. The young wide receiver was questionable heading into the game, kept everyone guessing right up until kickoff, then went out and delivered. Nabers confirmed after the final whistle that suiting up was never really in doubt for him, and Giants fans are better off for that call.
Dallas, meanwhile, has to live with this one for a while. Javonte Williams picked up a taunting penalty at the worst possible moment, killing what could have been a legitimate Cowboys comeback drive on Sunday Night Football. That kind of undisciplined football in a close game is the difference between a win and a long flight home.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
